Scene I Performed in Theatre Arts

Here is the scene from ANASTASIA that I performed in Theatre Arts.

In Theatre Arts one of the Days, Mrs. Pound wanted us all to act out a book that we liked from when we were little, but I don't really read that much. So instead, I thought of doing a scene from a movie with my friend Tyler Thibeau, and I came up with a scene from ANASTASIA, and I came up with a scene that had only two characters, and this was the only scene that I could come up with from the movie that had only two characters. Then, the next day, I brought ANASTASIA to my Theatre Arts class at school. I did the scene by myself, though. Even, Mrs. Pound gave me an A+ on the performance.

When I act it out again, I want my friend Tyler Thibeau to act it out with me. I thought it would be a good scene for me to do with Tyler. First, I will demonstrate in solo, and then I will tell him what we're going to be doing in the scene. Then, my new friend Matt Curtis will film us when we actually do the scene.

Below here is the script to the scene:

RASPUTIN [Loudly in outrage]: WHO DARES INTRUDE ON MY SOLITUDE?!!!

BARTOK [Wondering to himself]: What?

RASPUTIN [As he kicks rock pillar]: GET OUT! [Rock Pillar breaks to pieces; As Rasputin runs up to Bartok] GET OUT!!!! [He grabs Bartok so that Bartok is choking; Suddenly recognizing Bartok and letting go of him while holding him on his palm; Surprisingly shocked] Bartok? [Smiling in relief] Is that you? [Rasputin holds Bartok on his palm, Bartok falls down on palm of Rasputin's hand and slips off Rasputin's hand on his belly and lands on stone table.]

BARTOK [Looking up at Rasputin in atonishment]: Master, you're alive? [Bartok gets picked up and is standing on Rasputin's long beard.]

RASPUTIN [Slyly]: Yeah! [Angrily] In a matter of SPEAKING!! [As Rasputin yells "Speaking" after he pops his head up, his left eye pops out of his head. Suddenly, Bartok catches it.]

BARTOK [Holding Rasputin's eye]: Whoa! That fell right out there, sir.

RASPUTIN [Growling Angrily]: Some things happen!

BARTOK: Yeah. [Rasputin takes his eye out of Bartok's hand, and Rasputin stickingly shoves it back in the left hole which inside holds his left eye, eye suddenly sucks back into place; As Rasputin clonks his head] Whoopsie! [Bartok is hanging from Rasputin's beard; Rasputin walks around angrily.]

RASPUTIN [Growling Angrily]: I knew it! I could feel the dark forces STIRRING!! [Just Standing there]

BARTOK [Looking up at Rasputin Shockingly]: I'm not surprised, because I saw her! Anastasia!

RASPUTIN [Picks up his beard while Bartok is still hanging onto beard]: Anastasia? [As he picks up his beard and says "Anastasia", his mouth slides down off a foot down onto his beard] Alive?

BARTOK [Looking down at Rasputin's mouth]: Uh, sir, your lips. They're uh...

RASPUTIN [Angrily Growling Louldly]: THAT ROMANOV BRAT!!

BARTOK [Disappointingly]: Yeah, ain't that a kick in the head? [As he puts Rasputin's mouth back in Rasputin's mouth hole] I guess a curse just ain't what it used to be. Huh sir?

RASPUTIN [Angrily Growling and looking up while walking]: That's why I am stuck here in Libmo! [Turns around and stands and is holding Bartok in his hand] My curse IS NOT FULFILLED!! [As he says "Not Fulfilled", Rasputin throws his right hand out, and right hand pops off with Bartok holding on. Hand hits wall, Grabs Bartok, Falls down and hits floor with Bartok sitting upside down. Rasputin gasps horrified as he looks down at his arm without hand; Dramatically carrying on about himself and acting like a 3-year old] Look at me! I am falling apart! [Crying upsettingly; Screaming] I'M A WRECK!! [Turns to lying on his back on stone table.]

BARTOK [Walking up to Rasputin and carrying his hand]: Actually, considering how long you've been dead, you look pretty good. [Rasputin whines, Bartok puts hand down and stands on it, looking up at Rasputin] Sir, you do! You do!

RASPUTIN [Smilingly Slyly at Bartok]: Really?

BARTOK [Happily]: Sir, is this the face of a bat who would lie to you? [Smiles] Come on! [As he leans on hand] For a minute there, you had your old spark back!

RASPUTIN [As he sits up Angrily]: Before I had lost the gift, From the Dark Forces, and the Key to my POWERS!!

BARTOK [As he picks up reliquary and stands it up on stone table]: What? You mean this reliquary?

RASPUTIN [Gasps]: Well... [Slyly as he puts his finger up to his mouth in surprise, then smiling] This shall get That!

BARTOK: Oh, I found....

RASPUTIN [Happily as he grabs reliquary]: GIVE IT TO ME!!

BARTOK [Panicked]: All right, all right! Don't get so grabby! [Rasputin grabs his hand]

RASPUTIN [Happily as he puts his hand back on] My old friend! [As he picks up reliquary and hugs it, while holding it] Together Again! [Laughing evilly, then holding reliquary in one hand; Slyly as he gets up on feet] Now, my dark purpose will be fulfilled, [As the wind blows] and the last of the Romanovs will DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!!!!! [Thunder cracks, Bartok jumps between Rasputin's legs and off stone table in shock.]

Watching the movie ANASTASIA

We watched ANASTASIA in Theatre Arts today. I brought it so I could do a performance from the movie. I did it really good and memorized all the lines. I even got an A+ for the performance. I acted out the scene where Bartok the bat lands in Libmo with the green glowing thing that gives the evil sorcerer, Rasputin his powers and then Rasputin comes back into the movie. I acted out both the characters in the performance.

Redbox

Mommy and I would go to rent movies at the Shop n' Save [or Hannaford] using Redbox. Hopefully, Mommy won't sleep through WALL-E again. That was a good movie, and so far, Mommy's been sleeping through it!
